Tuesday 13 April 9:00 am: Autumn colours, Lennox Gardens
Meet at Lennox Gardens, between the HYATT Hotel and Lake Burley Griffin. Lennox Gardens, set on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin, offers beautiful views of Black Mountain, the Brindabella Ranges, and the city centre. It is home to two landscaped gifts from Japan and China; each celebrating the sister city links between Canberra, Beijing and Japan’s ancient capital, Nara.
The autumn colours on the maples and other plants should be stunning. We will stay for an hour and then drive to Weston Park and explore the area around the train station. It is your choice where you walk – there should be autumn displays in both directions and across the lake.
We’ll get together for coffee at the Stationstop Café at 11.30
