At this month’s meeting we will hear from Norm Blom. who will be talking about “Alternative Photographic Processes, focussing on the Cyanotype and Gum bichromate processes. The talk will cover equipment and chemicals needed and outline a typical workflow. He will discuss progress thus far in his attempts to master these processes. The talk will showcase examples of images created by early photographers such as Robert Demachy. In a second part, he will discuss Pictorialism, an art movement in photography. Some of the key exponents of this movement used these alternative photographic techniques.
